Teen Shot At West Englewood Stop Sign, Police Say

WEST ENGLEWOOD — A 17-year-old boy was shot while sitting at a stop sign Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. at a stop sign in the 1500 block of West Garfield, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A bullet grazed the teen’s shoulder, landing him at St. Bernard Hospital, where police were not able to give his condition but said he was "stable."
