EDISON PARK — The Fourth of July holiday will mean a change in garbage and recyclables pickup for residents of the Far Northwest Side, officials said.

City crews will not pick up garbage or recycling on Monday, city officials said.

Instead, homes who usually get their refuse and recyclables picked up on Monday will be serviced Tuesday. That could mean a one-day delay for all homes that receive curbside service, officials said.

Carts should be left out until the refuse and recyclables are hauled away, officials said.

Crews will resume their normal schedule the week of July 11, officials said.
