ENGLEWOOD — Shootings in Englewood have left one man dead and four people wounded since Thursday, police said.

• Most recently, at 6:20 a.m. Friday, police found a man shot to death in the 7400 block of South Morgan Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. Officers were responding to a report of shots fired when they found the man, whose age was unknown, lying on the ground.

The man had been shot in his head and was pronounced dead at the scene, Estrada said.

• At 4:25 p.m. Thursday, a 24-year-old man was walking in the 1500 block of West 62nd Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man had been shot in his foot.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in good condition, Amezaga said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 11:05 a.m., two men were shot in the 6300 block of South Yale Avenue, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The men were in good condition after one was shot in his leg and the other's head was grazed by a bullet, Quaid said.

Police could not immediately provide the men's ages or any other information on the shooting.

• At 8:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in his knee in the 6000 block of South Bishop Street, Quaid said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, Quaid said. Police could not provide the man's condition but said he was listed as "stable."

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
