CHICAGO — Monday evening commuters were met with traffic delays due to stalled buses and buckled pavement on Lake Shore Drive in two places on Monday, police said.
At 4:45 p.m., traffic was blocked in three northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive by Chicago Avenue and two southbound lanes by 31st St. due to buckled pavement and two buses, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.
ABC Chicago reported that one of the buses involved was a Northwestern University shuttle bus.
The companies the buses belong to was not immediately, Sweeney said.
