Trevell Parker, 16, Dies After Garfield Park Shooting

WEST GARFIELD PARK — A 16-year-old boy died after being shot on the West Side ion Thursday night, officials said.

The boy, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Trevell Parker, was shot in Garfield Park, Amezaga said. Around 10 p.m., police responding to calls of shots fired found the boy lying in a lot in the 4400 block of West Wilcox Street.

Trevell, of the 1800 block of South Kedzie Avenue, had been hit in his head and stomach. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

He was pronounced dead just before noon the next day, officials said.
