WEST GARFIELD PARK — Three people were shot, one fatally, in West Garfield Park early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 700 block of North Ridegway Avenue, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

A 55-year-old man was shot twice in his chest, Estrada said. He was was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Wondale Collier, of the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue.

A 35-year-old woman was brought to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in her left leg, Estrada said. Police could not provide her condition but said she was "stable."

A 19-year-old woman brought herself to St. Mary's Hospital after being shot in her left ankle, Estrada said. She was listed in good condition.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one is in custody, police said.
