CHICAGO — A West Ridge shooting left a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman wounded early Saturday, police said.

At 1:02 a.m., the two were sitting at a stop light in the 6800 block of North Ridge Boulevard when they heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his cheek. The woman was hit in her left shoulder, left thigh, finger and calf, Estrada said. They were taken to St. Francis Hospital, where their conditions were not released but they were listed as “stable,” Estrada said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
