When Does School Re-Start for CPS After Summer Break?

CHICAGO — Wondering when school re-starts for Chicago Public Schools?

Students will report for their first day of the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, the day after Labor Day, according to the CPS website.

School clerks will begin working on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 and teachers will report one week later, according to the site.
