Jefferson Park Burglaries Reported 3 Times In Past Month, Police Say

JEFFERSON PARK — Police are warning of a string of burglaries that hit Jefferson Park since May 24, according to a Monday alert.

In each incident, someone broke into a home through an unlocked front or back door and made off with cash, jewelry, electronics and other items, police said.

The burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

• Between noon and 6 p.m. on May 24 in the 4600 block of North Laporte Avenue

• Between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., between May 27 and May 30 in the 5500 block of West Lawrence Avenue

• Between 10 p.m. June 18 and noon June 19 in the 5400 block of West Giddings Street
