CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot to death in Greater Grand Crossing early Monday, according to police.
Officers responded to a call of a man shot in the 7300 block of South University Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Monday when they found the 22-year-old man unresponsive, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
He had been shot in his head and multiple times in his body, Estrada said, and he was pronounced on the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Eugene Singleton, of the 700 block of East 84th Place.
