Englewood Shooting Leaves Man, 29, Dead, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 29-year-old man was shot to death in Englewood early Monday, according to police.

The man was on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of West 69th Street at 12:48 a.m. when three men approached and one of them opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was struck in his lower back and chest and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Estrada said.

No arrests have been made, he said.
