Here's What The Navy Pier Flyover Project Looks Like Now (VIDEO)

DOWNTOWN — The Navy Pier flyover is going to make life much easier for pedestrians, but currently it's still a huge work in progress.

Construction continues on the pedestrian path along Lake Shore Drive near Navy Pier. The flyover is aimed at reducing bicycle and pedestrian traffic on the congested stretch of land at Lake Point Tower.

The first phase of the $60 million project near Navy Pier and Ohio Street Beach will be open next year. The complete flyover project will be finished and open in 2018.

We took a walk on the detour pedestrian pathway to see what the flyover looks like now.
