CHICAGO — The city has released renderings that show the design of the new 95th Street terminal.

The terminal is getting a $280 million overhaul, according to a news release from the Mayor's Office. The city reached out to the community to ask for input on the design.

Construction on the terminal's foundation began in 2014. The new station is expected to open in 2017, the Mayor's Office said.

The city also announced the No. 26 South Shore Express bus will begin extended service on Monday, offering three more hours of evening service. Other routes will have improved service on the South Side and Far South Side, the Mayor's Office said.
