GRAND CROSSING — FAM Entertainment Theater Company is hosting a free seven-week theater summer camp starting June 27.
The theater group will hold a free arts and theater summer camp for kids between the ages of 8-15 from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Fridays at the Dorchester Art and Housing Collaborative, 1456 E. 70th St.
The camp will focus on using art as a means of open expression to address violence in the community and will culminate with a performance by the 50 campers for the Grand Crossing community.
A separate free camp is being held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks beginning June 28 teaching breakdance, footwork and other dance styles. The camp is also free and open to kids between the ages of 8-15.
