Englewood Shooting Kills Victor Robinson, 31, Authorities Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Englewood left a 31-year-old man dead on Thursday night, police said.

At 9:15 p.m., the man was sitting on a porch in the 5600 block of South Peoria Street when a Dodge Challenger drove past and someone inside the car fired shots, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Police responding to reports of shots fired found the man lying on the ground unresponsive, Pacheco said.

The man was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Pacheco said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Victor Robinson, of the 6200 block of South Eberhart. He was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
