CHICAGO — A Brighton Park shooting left a 45-year-old man critically wounded Thursday night, police said.

At 10:15 p.m., the man was in a car in the 4300 block of South Archer Avenue when a man walked up, took out a gun and ordered the victim to get out of the car, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The victim resisted and the man fired the gun.

The victim was hit in his head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. He was in critical condition, Pacheco said.

The shooter ran away a little then got into a car and drove off, Pacheco said.
