Puerto Rican Festival, Parade Set for This Weekend

HUMBOLDT PARK — The annual Puerto Rican Festival and parade, Fiestas Puertorriqueñas, kicks off Thursday in Humboldt Park.

The massive celebration of culture is celebrating its 34th year at Division Street and California Avenue with live music, entertainment, food, arts and carnival rides.

The festival starts at 3 p.m. Thursday and runs until 10:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday the festivities start at noon.

The People's Parade along Division Street will be held Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. at Division and Western avenues.

Admission to Fiestas Puertorriqueñas is free, but carnival rides are an additional cost.

The fest is sponsored by the Puerto Rican Parade Committee of Chicago.
