CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was wounded in a Brighton Park shooting on Friday morning, police said.

At 8:35 a.m., the man was walking in the 4500 block of South Talman Avenue when a minivan drove up, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Someone got out of the car, fired shots at the man and then got into the car and drove off.

The man was hit in his neck and groin. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. His condition was unknown, Lemmon said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
