CHICAGO — A shooting in Ashburn left a 52-year-old man dead on Thursday, officials said.
At 5:30 p.m., Paul Webster was sitting in the passenger's side of a car parked in the 2800 block of West 84th Street when someone in a dark-colored car pulled up and fired shots, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Webster was hit in his chest and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Amezaga said.
Webster was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
