UPTOWN AND ANDERSONVILLE — Andersonville will shut down Clark Street for its annual street fest and Uptown is set for a midnight blues party, offering something for everyone in the neighborhoods this weekend.

Here is our list of 8 things to do in the neighborhood this weekend:

Andersonville's Midsommarfest: Live music, food, kids entertainment and fun are all part of the 51st incarnation of the Midsommarfest, which will close down Clark Street from Foster to Catalpa avenue in Andersonville all weekend long. For the full lineup of musical performers, which includes Too White Crew and Aphrodisiacs, click here. All weekend. Suggested $10 donation.

Kids Concert at Everybody's Coffee: Chibi Kodoma and Julie Helenius of the Old Town School of Folk Music will drop by the coffee shop for a free concert Saturday afternoon. Kodoma, a band made up of five sisters, draws on influences from '90s pop and grunge. 11 a.m. 935 W. Wilson Ave. Free.

A Panel Discussion on Civil Rights: The Bezazian Branch of the Chicago Public Library will host a panel discussion on civil rights Saturday afternoon featuring G. Flint Taylor, a founder of the People's Law Office, Pat Boughton, a CPS teacher and Chicago Teachers Union representative, Stephanie Galdman, communications director for union, and Robin Potter. 11 a.m. 1226 W. Ainslie St. Free.

Second Fridays on Argyle Street: This month's Second Fridays on Argyle Street will showcase Cafe Hoang's Bun Bo Hue. The monthly event not only spotlights food at a local business, but also brings the community together to talk about safety and improving the community, said Ald. Harry Osterman (48th). Pivots Art Festival: Looking to enjoy some multidisciplinary art this weekend? Check out the 10-day festival showcasing some of the city's top artistic innovators with "live music, theater, dance, children’s performances, workshops, discussions, a community dinner, wine tastings and more." The festival wil be held at various locations in Edgewater and Uptown including Bar 63, Francesca's Bryn Mawr, Loyola University's Mundelein Center for the Arts, the Preston Bradley Center and Uptown Underground. Learn the True Story of the First Woman to Fly Around The World: Rita Juanita Mock tells the story of her grandmother Jerrie Mock, the first woman to fly solo around the world, in an independent production at First Free Church. The show runs at 8 p.m. Friday, 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday. 5255 N. Ashland Ave.

Uptown Saturday Nights: This month's installment of Uptown Saturday Nights features the Chicago Blues All-Stars, who will also appear at the Chicago Blues Festival. Doors open at 11 p.m. for the free late-night party, which features dancing and drinking. $10 valet parking will be available. RSVP for the show here. Black Ensemble Theater, 4450 N.
