DUNNING — If you enjoy vegetables with a cheesecake chaser, you're in luck.
The farmers market at Eli's Cheesecake, 6701 W. Forest Preserve Drive, launches its summer season at 7 a.m. June 16, organizers said.
A variety of vendors will sell fruits, vegetables, crafts and flowers. A free continental breakfast is available for those who spend $5 or more at the market, organizers said.
Lunch from the cafe's grill will be available from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., when the market ends, organizers said.
Crafts made by students at the New Horizon Center for the Developmentally Disabled, Vaughn High School and the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences will also be available for purchase.
A speaker's program that will take place at 1 p.m. on June 30, July 14 and July 21 at Eli's will feature leaders in sustainable agriculture, organizers said.
