JEFFERSON PARK — Next to the food trucks, beer tents and concert stages, Jeff Fest — set for July 29-31 — will feature PhotoArt Fest IV, a juried fine art photography show.

The deadline to enter the fourth annual contest produced by the Chicago Creative Coalition is Monday. The top 50 contest entries picked by judges will be displayed at Jeff Fest, which will take place at Jefferson Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave.

The year's contest will also feature a student show, and 25 pictures submitted by students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be shown, organizers said.

The photographer who wins first place will take home $500, second place will win $250 and third place will earn $200. Three photos will be given honorable mention and take home $50. The photo selected as the People's Choice will win $100.

The cost to enter the contest is $40. Participants can submit up to four images online.

The entry fee for students is $10, and they can submit up to two images.

All photographs must be the original work of the artist, according to the contest rules. The images may be created by film or digital cameras and may be enhanced or manipulated by computer software. But computer-generated images will not be accepted.

Winners will be picked by a jury of professional artists. Jurors are Trent Albert, a professional photographer; Andrew Ettenhofer, an event producer; Jennifer Masi, principal and creative director of Torque; Michael McNicholas, a photographer and painter; and Warren Perlstein, a professional photographer.
