West Pullman Shootings Wound 2 People, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings in West Pullman left two men wounded between Friday and Saturday, police said.

At 2:55 a.m. Saturday, police found a 31-year-old man in a van in the 12700 block of South Halsted Street with a gunshot wound in his back, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. His condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

The man was not cooperating with officers, police said.

At 9:40 p.m. Friday, a 19-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 300 block of East Kensington Avenue when a man in a gray sedan fired shots at him, Lemmon said.

The man was shot in his left buttock and took himself to Trinity Hospital before being transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center. His condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
