Englewood Shooting Wounds 22-Year-Old Woman In Front Of Home, Police say

CHICAGO — A 22-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting in Englewood on Thursday afternoon, police said.

At 2:50 p.m., the woman was standing with a group of people in front of a home in the 6900 block of South Claremont Avenue, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Someone in an alley fired shots at the group, she said.

The woman was hit in her right arm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. Her condition was not released but she was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

No one was in custody.
