Woman Stabs Boyfriend, Critically Wounding Him, During Argument, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was critically wounded in a stabbing in Belmont Cragin on Thursday night, police said.

At 9:05 p.m., the man was arguing with his girlfriend in the 2500 block of North Luna Avenue when she took a knife and stabbed him in his stomach, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition, Amezaga said.

The girlfriend was taken into custody and charges are pending, police said.
