ANDERSONVILLE — Andersonville's Giordano's will host a pizza pie bake-off between local food bloggers next week.

From 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, the Giordano's at 5207 N. Clark St. invites Chicagoans to vote for their favorite creation in its first ever Pizza Pie-off, according to a press release for the event.

The competition pits four local foodies — Alex Jewell, Soo Park, Christina Slaton and Adam Sokolowski —  against each other to create their own signature pizza, which will be voted on by attendees at the event. Each competitor has more than 200,000 Instagram followers, according to the release.

General attendance votes will be worth 1 point, while media votes will be worth 5 points. The panel of media judges include Redeye's Eat and Drink editor Morgan Olsen; Chicago Woman magazine's food editor Katie Cahnmann and DNAinfo's Andersonville reporter, Josh McGhee (that's me!).

The Competition's Menu:

• Alex Jewell's Zest in Spring features shredded mozzarella and shaved Romano cheese sprinkled over a lemon garlic sauce with an extra thin crust. Toppings include Italian chicken sausage, fennel, orange zest, extra virgin olive oil, and frosted walnuts.

• Soo Park's Za Za Zest features a thin crust topped with a basil oil sauce, mozzarella and Asiago cheese. Toppings include grilled chicken, arugula tossed in lemon, baby heirloom tomatoes and a flower-shaped lemon in the center of the pizza with balsamic.

• Christina Slaton's CHIC features marinara sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese,  garlic, crushed chili flakes, roasted garlic chips and arugula tossed in lemon on a thin crust.

• Adam Sokolowski's The Chicagoan features a ranch sauce and mozzarella on a deep dish pie stuffed with bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage, giardiniera and crushed garlic.

The winning pie will be featured on select Giordano's menus beginning June 25.

The event is free to the public and will feature drink specials during the competition.
