South Shore Shooting Kills Marshawn Clinkscale, 17, Police Say

CHICAGO — A South Shore shooting left a 17-year-old dead Wednesday evening, police said.

At 5 p.m., police found Marshawn Clinkscale, of the 1700 block of East 73rd Street, in the 7500 block of South Coles Avenue, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, Chicago Police spokesman. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teen and said the shooting occurred in the 2600 block of East 75th Street.

Marshawn had been shot in his head, Tannehill said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m.

No arrests have been made, Tannehill said.
