EDISON PARK — For the second time in as many years, Stock School has been named one of best preschools in Illinois.

The Edison Park preschool won the 2016 Award of Excellence for Preschool Teaching and Learning from state officials. Last year, the school won the Award of Excellence for Inclusion of Children with Special Needs, Principal Ann McNally said in a statement.

Preschools throughout the state are ranked by ExceleRate Illinois, a statewide system funded by federal officials.

Stock, 7507 W. Birchwood Ave., uses a play-based, team-teaching approach to educate all students, including many with special needs.
