LOGAN SQUARE — A blowout block party at Parson's Chicken & Fish that was set for Memorial Day weekend has been canceled.
Thousands of people had RSVPed to attend the event, which was scheduled for Sunday.
The restaurant at 2952 W. Armitage Ave. announced the event had been postponed Thursday due to stormy weather that's forecast for the weekend.
The event will be rescheduled, according to an announcement on the event's Facebook page.
Parson's was planning to host the block part along Humboldt Boulevard, shutting down a portion of the street, to celebrate the restaurant's third birthday.
Those looking to attend should check the restaurant's Facebook page for updates regarding the rescheduling.
