CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was wounded in a West Englewood shooting Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The man was driving westbound on 59th Street near Ashland Avenue at 1:44 p.m. when his car window was shot out and he felt pain, said Officer Kevin Quaid, Chicago Police spokesman.
He was struck in his shoulder and managed to get himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Quaid said.
The man is a documented gang member, according to police.
