CHICAGO — A 17-year-old was wounded in a shooting while walking through a Washington Heights park Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

He was walking through Jackie Robinson Park, 10540 S. Morgan St., at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday when he heard several shots and felt pain in his leg, said Officer Kevin Quaid, Chicago Police spokesman.

The teen was shot in his right leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Quaid said. His condition was not released, but police said the teen was "stable."

No arrests have been made, Quaid said.
