UPTOWN — Everybody's Coffee on Tuesday will debut its new patio featuring furniture from oversized Lego-like blocks.

The 16-seat patio, which will be connected to the coffee shop at 935 W. Wilson Ave., would be the first of its kind of design in Chicago from Everblock, said Rich Troche, Director of Operations for Everybody's Coffee.

Josh McGhee chats about a building block patio at Everybody's Coffee.

"We're really excited to bring a patio to this Wilson strip right off the beach and the [Wilson] 'L' stop," said Troche.

Everblock Systems "was formed to make it easy for companies and people everywhere to build large-sized objects using a series of universal building blocks." It was conceived to "allow designers, decorators, and inventors everywhere to economically build their dream objects," according to its website.

The dog-friendly patio will open Tuesday, Troche said.
