CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was wounded in a West Town shooting early Sunday, according to police.

The man was on the sidewalk in the 3100 block of West Division Street at 6:30 a.m. Sunday when a white cargo van drove by and someone inside opened fire, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was grazed in his calf and got himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, Tannehill said.

The shooting victim is a documented gang member, police said. No arrests have been made.
