CHICAGO — A 50-year-old woman was shot in Rogers Park early Monday, according to police.

She was walking in the 6400 block of North Magnolia Avenue at 2 a.m. when shots rang out, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman was shot in her left leg, Lemmon said. She didn't realize she was shot until two hours after the incident and managed to get herself to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Lemmon said. Police did not have her condition but said she was "stable."

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Lemmon said.
