CHICAGO — Three people were wounded in three separate shootings in Austin since Thursday morning, according to police.

The first shooting was in the 5500 block of West Corcoran Place at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 32-year-old man was walking in the block when a red van pulled up and someone inside opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, she said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

A 33-year-old man was seriously wounded in an Austin shooting at 9:40 p.m. Thursday.

The man was in a parked car in the first block of North Lockwood Avenue when three men walked up and opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his head and managed to drive himself to West Suburban Hospital before being transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Pacheco said.

At 12:30 a.m. Friday, a 23-year-old woman was wounded in an Austin shooting.

The woman was on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Quincy Street when shots rang out, Pacheco said. She was shot in her right foot and got herself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where police considered her to be "stable."

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings, Pacheco said.
