ROGERS PARK — A new five-story self-storage facility on Juneway Terrace is set to begin construction soon with the recent approval of $4 million worth of building permits.

The Lockup Self Storage building will have 760 units and replaces the former Duro Arts facility at 1832 W. Juneway Terrace that was demolished in September.

Ald. Joe Moore (49) held a community meeting in September to discuss the project, which also includes 10 parking spaces.

Each unit would have climate control access and the building would include both a drive-through entrance and exit for users to drop off items, Moore said.

The parking lot would hold spaces for 10 vehicles and the facility would be staffed and open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
