PORTAGE PARK — The Filament Theatre Ensemble will celebrate living legend Bob Dylan's birthday with an old-fashioned hootenanny at 8 p.m. Saturday.
The fourth annual bash, complete with birthday cake, will mark Dylan's 75th birthday, which is a few days after the party on May 24.
The tribute to storytellers will raise money for the ensemble that moved to Six Corners in 2013 and transformed the first floor of the former furniture warehouse at 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave. into a performance venue.
Artists scheduled to perform include Dan Aranda, David Berner, Rob Martwick featuring Jill Arena, Luke Heiden, Tim McNulty, Ethan Kinsella, Eddie Torrez, Robin Bienemann, Laura Joy, Al Rose, Stolie and Zydeco Voodoo, organizers said.
A Bob Dylan trivia game will also take place.
Attendees should bring drinks and snacks, organizers said.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person or $125 for a VIP table of four.
