BRIDGEPORT — Kimski At Maria's welcomes the neighborhood to a grand opening celebration Wednesday.
It's been a week since the much-anticipated Korean-Polish street food counter opened alongside an expanded beer hall for Maria's Community Bar, 960 W. 31st St.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. Famed Chicago pop musician Bobby Conn will provide live music.
Kimski's menu includes the Maria’s Standard: Polish sausage on a soft roll topped with soju mustard, Kraut-chi and scallions. The "KoPo Wangs" are chicken wings slathered in a spicy sauce, topped with sesame seeds and scallions.
And made with meat or vegetables, "Potski's" are similar to potstickers or pierogies, filled with potatoes, cheese, kapusta, soy cream sauce and dill.
