LAKEVIEW — Locked away for the last six months, the best resale finds from The Brown Elephant are finally getting unearthed.

Think Chanel, Dior, Alexander Wang and Alexander McQueen. The resale shop will bring out high-end, designer and vintage items for a "Best of" pop-up event this weekend.

Since the fall, the three Brown Elephant shops in Lakeview, Andersonville and Oak Park have culled their fanciest donations and set them aside for the Best of Brown Elephant.

After an invitation-only preview for fashion influencers and high-end donors Friday, The Brown Elephant Lakeview, 3020 N. Lincoln Ave., will host the pop-up from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Profits from The Brown Elephant shops benefit Howard Brown Health Center and the healthcare services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender who are uninsured or underinsured.

In March, Howard Brown opened its first South Side location in Englewood, joining centers in Lakeview, Rogers Park and Uptown.

Last year, Howard Brown's five Chicago centers provided health services to almost 20,000 clients, including vaccinations, hepatitis C treatment, HIV care and behavioral health programs such as tobacco cessation.
