UPTOWN — After more than three years as a vacant storefront, a new business is moving into the former Tapas Las Ramblas space.

The new owners of the 3,100-square-foot condo and restaurant building "have a concept in the works, slated to open later this year," according to a news release for Kudan Group, which represented the new owners in the purchase.

Officials declined to release further details on the project.

The Spanish tapas joint at 5101 N. Clark St. closed in early 2013 without many details from co-owner Michael Moore, but at the time signs on the building encouraged customers to "visit our friends," Twist A Tapas Cafe at 3412 N. Sheffield Ave.

The restaurant was formerly Il Fiasco, an Italian restaurant also owned by Moore before it was closed and replaced with Tapas Las Ramblas in 2008.
