AUBURN GRESHAM — A 20-year-old man shot to death in Auburn Gresham last week was identified as Deangelo Diggines, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Around 5:50 p.m. on May 10, Diggines was standing on the corner of 77th Street and Aberdeen Street when someone jumped out of a nearby SUV and shot at him, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Diggines was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Tannehill said, where he was pronounced dead. He had been shot in his lower back.
Officials could not determine his home address.
No one is in custody, police said.
