CHICAGO — Jewell Ford and her pair of teenage actor sons, Hudson and Weston, are desperately on the lookout for their missing parrot, Johann.

The African grey parrot has been gone since April 30, when Jewell was cleaning his cage and he flew out their Norwood Park home's open front door near Harlem and Talcott Avenues.

Justin Breen shares details of the missing parrot.

The family has been searching 6-8 hours a day all over Norwood Park, hoping to find Johann, who's smaller than a pigeon and has a grey body and maroon tail.

"The boys and I are offering a reward: [it's] our grocery money, but we don't care," Jewell Ford said. "It's a couple hundred dollars."

Like Hudson and Weston — actors who played brothers from the Abnegation faction in the film "Divergent" — Johann has talent. The bird can sing and say several words, including "water" and Weston's nickname "Bruiser."

Weston also sings in the Chicago Children's Choir, while both brothers have acted productions by the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
