CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded while driving on the Stevenson Expressway early Saturday, state police said.
At 6:18 a.m., the man was driving on the Stevenson near Central Avenue when a silver Volkswagen SUV pulled up and someone inside the car fired shots, according to an Illinois State Police news release. The man was shot four times in his lower body.
The man pulled over onto the shoulder while the car with the shooter drove off, police said. The man was taken to McNeil Hospital in serious condition.
No other information was immediately available.
