Man Killed In Englewood Shooting Identified

CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man was shot to death while driving in Englewood early Saturday, police said.

At 1:40 a.m., the man's body was found in his car in the 7400 block of South Union Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man had been shot in his chest while driving and tried to drive away, but he hit a parked car.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Carl Handley, of the 100 block of East 115th Street.

No one was in custody.
