GARFIELD PARK — As spring staggers its way into full bloom this year, the folks at the Garfield Park Conservatory want would-be gardeners to be prepared.

The greenhouse is hosting a seedling sale on Saturday, offering dozens of varieties of flowers, herbs and vegetables for planters to try out this year.

The seeds will range in price from $2-6, according to the conservatory's website. The sale will open to the public at 11 a.m., but members can have at it an hour earlier.

While parents are seed-shopping, they can drop their kids at the conservatory's biweekly Juicebox Concert Series, which is hosting Tatsu Aoki’s Tuskas Taiko Ensemble this week.

The Japanese drumming group will also begin its set at 11 a.m.
