Burglar Shattering Businesses' Front Windows on Far NW Side, Police Say

 Six businesses in Dunning, Jefferson Park and Portage Park have been burglarized in recent weeks by someone who shattered the front window or pried open the doors, police warned Wednesday.

DUNNING — Six businesses in Dunning, Jefferson Park and Portage Park have been burglarized in recent weeks by someone who shattered front windows or pried open doors, police warned Wednesday.

Police said the burglaries took place in the:

• 6200 block of west Addison Street between 3:30 and 3:36 a.m. Thursday

• 6200 block of west Addison Street between 3:30 and 3:36 a.m. Thursday

• 4000 block of north Milwaukee Avenue between 8 p.m. April 18 and 9:55 a.m. Thursday

• 5200 block of north Elston Avenue between 6 p.m. Sunday and and 6:25 a.m. Monday

• 3900 block of north Austin Avenue between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8263.
