HERMOSA — A suspect is in custody after the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in the Hermosa neighborhood Monday night, police said.

Around 10:30 p.m., the man was standing in front of a home in the 2000 block of North Pulaski Road when someone walked up and shot at him, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Illinois Masonic Hospital, Pacheco said, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the man was a documented gang member.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Robert Roseneau, of the 2000 block of North Avers Avenue.

A suspect was arrested and a gun was recovered from the scene, Pacheco said.
