BRIDGEPORT — A car plowed into a woman and little boy near 35th and Halsted Tuesday morning, police said.
Around 7:40 a.m., a 65-year-old man was driving north on Halsted Streeet in a 2012 Chevy Traverse when he turned left to go westbound down 35th Street.
That's where he ran into a 56-year-old woman and 9-year-old boy walking across the street, police said.
They were both taken to Stroger Hospital, where the boy is in good condition. Police could not provide the woman's condition but said she was "stable."
The driver received a ticket for failing to yield to pedestrians in the roadway.
