THE LOOP — The 2016 James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant Design was given to one of the new restaurants in the revamped Chicago Athletic Association on Michigan Avenue.
In the category of best design for a restaurant 76 seats and over, the Beard went to:
The Cherry Circle Room, which was designed by the firm Land and Sea Dept.
The Beard Awards, dubbed the "Oscars of the food world," honor the country's top culinary talent. This is the second year the Beard Foundation has held its award ceremony in Chicago.
