
JEFFERSON PARK — Six more garages in Jefferson Park have been burglarized in recent weeks by someone who kicked down or pried open overhead or side doors, police warned.
The burglar took construction tools, bicycles and lawn equipment, police said.
All of the burglaries that took place between Tuesday and Thursday occurred within a few blocks.
Police said the burglaries took place:
• Between 10 p.m. April 4 and 7 a.m. April 5 in the 4800 block of North LeClaire Avenue
• Between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of West Carmen Avenue
• Between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of West Winona Street
• Between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of West Winona Street
• Between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:15 a.m. Thursday in the 4900 block of West Carmen Avenue
• Between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4900 block of West Winnemac Avenue
On Wednesday, police warned that five garages in Jefferson Park and Norwood Park had been burglarized since April 25.
